Description: The <genreform> element describes the format of an item, series of items, or collection. At the Collection level, this element can be used within the Controlled Access Headings to identify the types of materials in the collection. At the component level, this element is available in the Optional Fields, and allows for encoding of more detailed physical characteristics.

Collection Level:

At the Collection Level: Terms are added under Controlled Access Headings; choose "Material Type" from the "Type of Term" drop-down menu.
